| Griffin® #12 carded silk bead cord with needle | 623-531 | 1 card |
| Serpentine oval stone bead, 35 x 20mm | 074-885 | 7 (approx. 2/3 strand) |
| Fancy walnut bead, 12mm | 077-193 | 78 (approx. 2-1/2 strands) |
| Jeweler’s cement | 286-083 | 1 jar |
| Steps: |
| 1) Unwind your silk bead cord and stretch it out. |
| 2) With the needle leading, begin stringing your beads. Begin by stringing 10 wood beads, followed by one serpentine bead. String 16 more wood beads, followed up another serpentine bead. Continue stringing in this manner, varying the number of wood beads between each serpentine bead as desired, until all beads are strung. |
|
3) Bring the ends of the cord together, and tie a knot. Make sure the knot is very tight and ensure there is not a large gap between the beads and the knot. |
|
4) Choose one wood bead next to the knot, and apply a few drops of jeweler’s cement to the inside of it. |
| 5) Move the cord so the knot is inside the bead with the jeweler’s cement. This should be done gently. If the hole is not big enough, pull gently on your knot to tighten and make it smaller. The jeweler’s cement will secure the knot inside of the bead. |
| 6) Allow the jeweler’s cement to dry, and your necklace is complete! The resulting necklace should be about 48"–50" in length. |
